Westlife and Boyzone look set to follow in the footsteps of their boyband successors McFly and Busted to form a new pop supergroup.

Brian McFadden – who broke teenage hearts worldwide when he quit Westlife – confirmed he is teaming up with Boyzone’s Keith Duffy to tour as Boyzlife.

But the pair are hoping to rope Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch into the combined force.

Speaking to The Sun, McFadden said: “We all had a chat [at Keating’s wedding last year], the lads. We said it would be amazing. Not even just performing together, but can you imagine the craic?

“Nine of us Irish lads on a tour bus together, going round the world together. It would be absolutely carnage. We all get on so well so you never know.”

Keating recently expressed his interest in joining forces, telling Digital Spy: "The idea's been thrown around alright. Different collaborations. Not just Westlife, but Girls Aloud and lots of different collaborations. I don't know. Maybe, maybe. Never say never to those sort of things."

McFadden and Duffy's 12 date Hitlon Hotel Boyzlife tour will kick off on October 16 in London.
