Cara Delevingne has reportedly missed out on the lead role in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
The 21-year-old model - who made her film debut as Princess Sorokina in 2012 romantic drama Anna Karenina - auditioned for the kinky role of Anastasia Steele in June to no avail.
A source told The Sun: "The lead role was not something that was offered."
But there is still a chance the model will feature in the film, with chances of a supporting role in Sam Taylor-Johnson's film.
Others auditioning for the part of Anastasia include Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and emerging actress Dakota Johnson. Meanwhile, it is rumoured that Pacific Rim actor Charlie Hunnam is in the running to play Christian Grey in Universal's screen adaption of E. L. James' best-selling novel.
Cara was recently cast in her first big film role for Kids in Love, a British drama following teenagers living in London who love to party in the city, drinking and taking drugs until the early hours of the morning.
A source said: "It will be Cara's first big screen role, so she's really excited about it and is eager to make sure that she does a good job.
