Cheryl Fernandez-Versini slams Louis Walsh as ‘sick’ for reportedly disputing her malaria
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who is currently mentoring the girls in this year’s X Factor, has hit out at Louis Walsh after he questioned whether she really had malaria in 2010.
Speaking to Attitude magazine, Cheryl, 31, said: "I think it was Louis Walsh. It’s sick. And it made me question humanity. I really lost faith in humanity for a long time.

"Not that I care anymore but at the time I was devastated. Sometimes, even now, I hear things about me and think, the person who is writing this, or saying it, you have to be sick in your f*****g head to even conclude that about me.”
She continued: "I mean who thinks that I sit on X Factor and pretend to cry. You’ve got to be mental. Louis has apologised profusely since.
"Because when I was on Piers Morgan, they had the top doctor from the tropical diseases unit at the hospital, talking about how poorly I was. But Louis wouldn’t have cared to have asked anyone the facts."
Despite the pair now sharing a panel, and looking to be getting on amicably on the ITV show, Cheryl said she would never go to him in a crisis: "He is what he is. And I accept him for what he is. He’s not somebody I would call tomorrow if I was in a crisis. He’s just Louis."
