Comic Relief: Daniel Craig teams up with Sir Roger Moore to drop James Bond bombshell

Viewers will be left shaken and stirred as two of the world’s most loved 007 agents come together for a Comic Relief skit.

Daniel Craig, 47, will be joined by former Bond star Sir Roger Moore, as well as a selection of stars from the franchise including Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris and director Sam Mendes.

Written by David Walliams and his Big School collaborators The Dawson Brothers, the mockumentary will see Craig reveal a Bond bombshell to shock fans.

Former Bond star Moore said: “I think viewers will most enjoy seeing that old Bonds never die.”

Ben Whishaw, who played Q in Skyfall, was keen t get involved. “When I first saw the script, I was returning home from the set, and it really made me laugh out loud," he said. "I was thrilled to be asked to be involved.”

Sam Mendes, who is currently directing the 24 Bond film Spectre, said: “I decided to take part in this sketch because the work Comic Relief undertakes, especially in West Africa, for people whose suffering is beyond our comprehension is truly exceptional. Any help I can offer, even in the smallest of ways, is a privilege."

The sketch is part of Comic Relief – Face the Funny, which will be broadcast live from the London Palladium from 7pm on BBC One tonight.
