The Pavilion Apartments in St John's Wood, directly opposite Lord's was in such a prime position that many flats were bought before a brick was even laid. The residents include the great and the good, including high-profile cricketing board members and players. Their views may be free, but they've certainly paid for the privilege. An eighth-floor, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment currently for sale through Knight Frank has a 17ft terrace which overlooks the pitch - only slightly obscured by the tops of the tent-like new stand. With underground parking, it's on the market at £900,000.
