An enthusiastic sign language interpreter has become an overnight sensation following an energetic translation of a Eurovision song.

Tommy Krångh got his groove on as he signed his way through Swedish Eurovision hopeful Magnus Carlsson's song Heroes on TV show Melodifestivalen.

Dressed in a black shirt and blue bow tie, Krångh can be seen wiggling his hips, striking a series of over the top gestures and pulling several facial expressions as he signs his way through the catchy song.

The YouTube video has amassed more than 700,000 hits and Krångh, 48, is being called to represent Sweden at the annual competition in Vienna this May.

The dancing interpreter told Swedish newspapers that the response to the video is “crazy” and he feels as though he has been “love bombed”.

He told Aftonbladet: “It's crazy and I'm very happy for all the nice words. I have really been love bombed.”

“I do not really know what happened. I go into the music with my body and lose myself in any way possible, then I get funky and just let go.

“I have like no control, yet I know exactly what to do.”

Sweden is hoping to bring home the trophy with Måns Zelmerlöw at this year’s competition. The UK will be represented by Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas as Electro Velvet. The pair will sing their electro-swing number Still in Love With You.

The Eurovision Song Contest airs on May 23 live from Vienna.
