Dani Dyer has said that her trip to Tanzania with Comic Relief has “put a lot of things into perspective,” shortly after her boyfriend Jack Fincham admitted to using cocaine on a night out.

The former Love Island star is in Africa ahead of her Mount Kilimanjaro climb with the charity, and told followers that the trip had been “really emotional” in an Instagram Story post.

“I just wanted to say it’s been really emotional out here,” she said, adding: “It’s put a lot of things into perspective for me and shown me what really matters and what we need to address more in the world rather than all pointless things, really.”

The reality star also shared a photo of her smiling with some Tanzanian school girls, captioning the post with an uplifting message.

“See the things is with us girls. We are invincible we can change the world,” she wrote.

“Beautiful souls and beautiful faces. Thank you for showing me so much love and so much kindness and how strong you girls are.

“Please keep going things are changing and things are getting better.”

Dyer’s boyfriend Fincham, who she met on the ITV2 reality show last summer, apologised in an interview with The Sun after admitting to using cocaine following his Love Island victory.

The former pen salesman said that he had been regularly offered the drug since winning the show.

“I’d never normally be in these situations but yes, since winning the show I have been offered cocaine a lot,” he told the paper.

“But I went out all night, I was drinking and I just got carried away and made a stupid, stupid mistake which I wish I’d never done, you know. I regret it.”

He went on to describe it as a “terrible, terrible error,” and said that he was dreading telling his girlfriend’s father, actor Danny Dyer, about the situation.

“I’m sure most dads would take a dim view of it. I’ve made a mistake and I’m sorry for it and that’s the truth,” he said.
