David Beckham may have retired from football – but he proved he’s still got the skills as he challenged a group of school children to a charity match in Nepal.

Beckham, 40, joined the Nepalese students in Bhaktapur Durbar Square in Bhaktapur, Nepal for the charity game which was part of a fund raising campaign for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Despite being a world famous sportsman the children kept Beckham on his toes as they had him running the length of the square.

The students were from Padam Jyoti school which was badly damaged by the devastating earthquake in April.

The father-of-four later had his face painted crimson – the national colour of Nepal – and was presented with a floral garland.

Beckham was in the country for a day as part of his filming for a new BBC documentary.

He also visited the Shree Padma Higher Secondary School, where classes are being held in temporary sheds following the natural disaster.
