David Beckham shares inspirational photos during UNICEF trip to Cambodia

David Beckham has shared a number of photographs from his UNICEF trip to Cambodia, giving fans an insight into his role as Goodwill Ambassador.

Clearly awestruck by the beautiful country and its people, the former footballer decided to post a number of pictures to his Instagram account, urging fans to follow in his footsteps.

Posting a snap of himself outside a temple in Ta Prohm on Tuesday, Beckham wrote: "Had an incredible time in Cambodia met some amazing people , the children were truly inspirational .. If you ever get the chance to visit Cambodia then Ta Prohm should be on your list..."

The day before, the star shared a photo of himself joking with a group of local children who had been affected by violence.

Beckham wrote: "Today's amazing visit with @unicef to meet children affected by violence. Violence against any child is unacceptable. Children should never be in danger...great to see @unicef work & the smiles on these children's faces ..."

Doing some sight-seeing over the weekend, the 40-year-old got a chance to visit he famous Angkor Wat temple, bringing along his camera to get some snaps.

He captioned a photo of himself: "Amazing day in Cambodia visiting the Angkor Wat temple .... One of the most beautiful places in the world ......."

Official photos released last week saw Beckham visit a school in Siam Reap which had benefited from his David Beckham UNICEF Fund, joining in with a number of lessons.

Since his birthday celebrations last month, the former England player has had a busy schedule, including a visit to China to attend the launch of a brand new H&M store.

Beckham has also just bagged himself a role in Guy Ritchie's new film, Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur, opposite Jude Law and Eric Bana
