Declan Donnelly has put fans out of their misery by revealing the whereabouts of his wedding ring.

Concerned Saturday Night Takeaway viewers took to Twitter to question why Donnelly, 40 – who married his manager Ali Astall in August 2015 – was not wearing the band during the live show on Saturday night.

One viewer posted: “Dec why didn't you wear your wedding ring on SNT? Hope all is ok x.”

Another wrote: “@antanddec watching #SaturdayNightTakeaway and dec why you not wearing your wedding ring shame on you.”

But the TV presenter has ended the drama, telling viewers he left the ring in his dressing room.

“I didn't realise until afterwards when someone said there's a bit of a thing online,” he told the Daily Star.

“I left it upstairs in the dressing room - I didn't think anyone would notice. It's only a tiny little thing!

“There's no drama - thank God. there's nothing more sinister in it.”
