A newly-unearthed image appears to prove that Love Island’s latest lovebirds Jack and Laura already knew each other before entering the villa.

Fans of the ITV2 reality show have discovered an old snap which appears to show the couple working out side by side.

The photo is reportedly taken from a gym advert, according to Twitter users, and proves that the pair didn't meet for the first time when Laura entered the villa last week.

Jack can be seen squatting in the advert for gym chain David Lloyd with a blonde woman who bares resemblance to Laura on the other side of him.

Commenting on the image circulating Twitter, one user wrote: “So jack fowler already knew laura crane before love island and it just so happens he gets with her-no way not having it.

“He even acts like he doesn’t even know her he’s definitely playing a game and so is she there both playing a game.” [sic]

Another posted: “Ok wait, what? Laura and Jack already new each other? #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAftersun.”

A third said: “They’re taking us for Ian beales you know. I’m sick of it.”

Other users raged over how the “whole season” has been a “fix” following an image of Megan and Alexandra which emerged just days after newbie Alexandra’s entry.

New Laura’s arrival saw Jack break things off with Scottish Laura almost immediately when she landed in the villa a week ago.

The news comes after the show face criticism over being “staged” after Georgia revealed that her kiss with Jack was filmed twice.
