The Spice Girls reportedly made a dig at former bandmate Victoria Beckham’s absence during their Wembley Stadium reunion show.

The fashion designer chose not to join Geri Horner, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton for the group’s stadium tour of the UK, citing work commitments.

As the four piece performed at the iconic London venue last night, the Daily Mail reports that Horner became emotional during the group’s rendition of Goodbye.

“Why are you so quiet?” Brown is said to have asked, adding: “Have you ever known Ginge so quiet?”

The singer reportedly responded by explaining that she was thinking of the band’s 1998 Wembley gig, which came after her departure from the group.

“I was gutted they were doing it without me. Then 21 years later to come back and be doing it together with you lot,” she is thought to have replied.

The Mail reports that the group didn’t miss the opportunity to point out Beckham’s absence, responding with: “I wonder if Victoria feels like that right now.”

Beckham was spotted in the US yesterday after ruling herself out of the reunion tour.

“Victoria has wished the girls all the best but made it clear she doesn’t want any part in the tour,” a source told The Sun.

“She decided to make herself scare and take a tactical trip out of town.”

The fashion icon previously hinted that she would take her family to watch the band and even teased a cameo appearance.

“I’m so proud of everything I achieved and I’m proud of them, I can’t wait to take my kids and see it,” she told Good Morning America. “In spirit I will absolutely be there with them.”

When asked if she would be tempted to get up on stage, she replied: “I mean I don’t know. Let’s see.”

The Spice Girls tour concludes with two further Wembley gigs on June 14 and June 15.
