Drake poured out a drink in memory of late rapper Nipsey Hussle, after paying tribute to his former collaborator at a London tour date.

The Canadian rapper documented the gesture in an Instagram clip, which showed one of his entourage emptying the bottle of alcohol onto the floor “for Nipsey.”

“Yeah exactly, exactly. Rest easy, yeah the whole thing,” Drake could be heard responding.

Grammy-nominated musician Hussle was shot outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday and was later declared dead.

His suspected killer Eric Holder was arrested earlier today following a days-long police manhunt, a Twitter statement posted by the LAPD confirmed.

Drake paid tribute to the star, with whom he collaborated on the 2009 track Killer, on the first night of his residency at the 02 Arena on Monday, describing him as “somebody that always treated you with respect when he saw you. Somebody that demanded respect when he walked in a room”.

The 32-year-old also posted an emotional statement on Twitter following news of the rapper (real name Ermias Asghedom)’s passing, revealing that the pair had planned to work on another track together this summer.

“My whole energy is just at a low right now hearing this,” he wrote below a photo of Hussle performing.

“We just linked for the first time in years and said we were gonna do a new song this summer cause it had been too long.

“You were having the best run and I was so happy watching from distance fam nobody ever talks down on your name you were a real one to your people and to the rest of us.”

Tributes from fellow musicians flooded in for the 33-year-old, with Rihanna, Beyoncé and Nas among those who marked his passing on social media

“This doesn’t make any sense!” Rihanna wrote alongside a photo of the rapper and his daughter at the 2019 Grammys.

“My spirit is shaken by this! Dear God may his spirit Rest In Peace and may you grant divine comfort to all his loved ones!”

Sharing a childhood photo of Hussle, Beyoncé said that she was “praying with every ounce of [her] heart” for the star’s family.
