Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been declared the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.

Posting a snap of the front cover on his Instagram account, the 44-year-old wrote:

“This just means I'm still up at 4am trainin' hard, takin' care of my babies, drivin' my pick up truck and tellin' a few dirty/nerdy jokes... extremely sexily of course. (sic)

“Huge THANK YOU you to the entire hard working and very cool staff at @People as well as all the fans worldwide. I'm honored and grateful for the luv!

“Remember, sexy isn't something you "try and be". Sexy happens naturally when you're comfortable just being yourself.

Earlier this week, Johnson said that he certainly wouldn’t rule out running for President of the United States following Donald Trump’s election win.

Talking to Vanity Fair about a possibly running in 2020, he said: “I wouldn’t rule it out.

“It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.”

Speaking back in July, he said: “As time goes on, [I will] take the temperature of the American people.

“If it is a very real, overwhelming, positive, strong, ‘We want you to run for president’, and I felt that I can step up to the place and become a tremendous leader for our country, and make a real difference and make change, I would do it.
