Actor Ed Skrein has revealed he is plotting a duet with his friend Plan B — and hinted the musician could release new material this month, after a break of almost five years.

The Hollywood star, 33, was given his acting debut by Plan B — real name Ben Drew — in the musician’s 2012 film Ill Manors.

He has since starred in Game Of Thrones and Deadpool and has recently finished shooting for Robert Rodriguez’s blockbuster Alita: Battle Angel, based on a Japanese manga series.

Skrein, a Central St Martins graduate, was an MC before getting into acting.

At Belstaff’s AW17 Jolly Roger presentation in Marylebone, he said: “We may have a bit of a project we have been working on but I can’t say much more. It involves a bit of character acting — that’s the only way I could really be tempted back into music at the moment.

"To be honest there are plenty of other people out there who can do a much better job of it than me.

“It has been radio silence from Ben [Plan B] for a while but I’ve heard his fourth album and it is amazing. He could be dropping something this month.”

Plan B has not released an album since his acclaimed soundtrack to Ill Manors in 2012.

Skrein, pictured, is not letting his Hollywood success go to his head. “I still hang out with the same guys I always have,” he said.

“They never let me get ahead of myself — they always just take the piss out of me. I think it’s easy to stay grounded.

"You can create your own image, your own world and even your own environment. So it’s easy to get back into normality for me.”
