Ella Eyre asked her mother to join her on her tour bus when she played Glastonbury at the weekend — but the 56-year-old turned her down and chose to camp instead.

Eyre, 21, performed on the Other Stage on Saturday and was watched by her mother, a former knitwear designer for brands including Alexander McQueen.

She said: “It was her first ever Glastonbury and she wanted to do it properly. I was on my tour bus and I asked her to stay with me but she refused — she said it would take far too long to get in and out of the festival.

“It was an amazing experience for me — I was shocked at how many people turned up to watch me.”

Eyre was unveiled as the replacement for Beyoncé as the face of the Emporio Armani Diamonds Violet fragrance at a party at The Ace Hotel in Shoreditch last night.
