Strictly Come Dancing contestant Frankie Bridge said she missed seeing her son walk properly for the first time because of her TV commitments.

The Saturdays pop star, one of the favourites to win the BBC dance show, has a one-year-old son called Parker with her husband, former footballer Wayne Bridge.

She told the Daily Mirror: "He was kind of walking with help.

"I said to Wayne, 'I guarantee when we get back from Blackpool he'll be walking properly', and he was.

"So that's cool. I was there when he took his very first steps so I'm OK with it.

"But he took it upon himself to do it properly when we were away."
