Gemma Atkinson shares sweet snap of dog resting on her baby bump days after announcing pregnancy

Gemma Atkinson has shared a sweet snap of her pet dog resting on her baby bump, days after announcing she is expecting her first child with Gorka Marquez.

The pair, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, used their dogs to reveal the sweet announcement .

Atkinson shared a cute pregnancy snap with her followers on Wednesday, showing one of the dogs resting protectively on her stomach.

Alongside the snap, she wrote: “Guarding his new pack member... Dogs are just wonderful.”

The former Emmerdale actress and Marquez, who has been a professional on Strictly since in 2016, revealed they were expanding their family on Friday but stayed silent on the due date or gender.

Atkinson posted a picture of Norman and Ollie brandishing signs which read: “Guess what… mum’s pregnant! We’re going to be big brothers!”

She captioned the post: “And what Amazing big brothers they will be! Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already.”

Marquez also shared the image alongside the caption: “Thank you for the greatest gift in life. Myself and Gem are beyond thrilled to be welcoming our new family member later this year!

"Baby Marquez Norm and ollie can’t wait to start their big brother duties.”

The exciting announcement came as they gave fans a sneak peak at their new home in Manchester, having recently set up home together.
