Halle Berry "checked out healthy" after a visit to hospital yesterday following a head injury on set of her new film.

The 45-year-old actress - who has a four-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry - was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after she had an accident on set, but is now said to be fine and back working on the film.

Her spokesperson told People.com: "Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film 'The Hive'.

"She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned."

She is believed to have fallen during shooting, causing her injury and while production was stopped briefly on the film - which also stars David Otunga and Abigail Breslin - it has now continued.

It is the second time in a year Halle - who is engaged to Kylie Minogue's ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez - has injured herself while making a movie; in September 2011 she broke her foot while out walking on the Spanish island of Majorca in a day off from shooting.
