McBusted star Harry Judd has spoken out about wife Izzy’s pregnancy after they suffered a miscarriage last year.

The pop star, who announced that the couple were expecting their first child on Twitter earlier this month, has opened up about the couple’s struggle to conceive.

Speaking to Hello magazine, Judd said: “You feel like you are never going to be the ones who get to say, "We are having a baby." That is why we feel so blessed now.”

Discussing their use of IVF, Judd admitted that he never thought they’d get to that stage.

He said: “In an ideal world when you're ready to start a family you hope you will conceive in the first few months of trying.

“We were like, no, no we won't need IVF, it won't be us. IVF was like something you didn't talk about. We thought it would be fine.”

Izzy added: “Every baby is a miracle but we do feel so very lucky.

“I never wanted to stop believing that we would have a family. But you do feel like someone has pressed pause on your life and you can't go anywhere.”

The couple announced the happy news via Instagram, captioning a snap: 'Izzy and I are so happy and feel truly blessed to be able to share with you that we are expecting our very own little miracle. #BabyJudd @izzyintheattic

Judd first met violinist Izzy back in 2005 when her group Escala supported McFly on tour and they married in 2012.
