Has Louis Walsh just confirmed Nick Grimshaw to replace him on The X Factor?

Music manager Louis Walsh has confirmed Nick Grimshaw as his replacement on The X Factor, according to reports.

Walsh - who earlier this month stepped down from the judging panel after 10 years on the talent show - is keen for Grimshaw to replace him.

Speaking to the Daily Star Online he said: "I think there is a great great chance Grimmy will get my job."

But the 62-year-old said he is worried that the Radio DJ may not be cut out for the hard work.

"I don't think he realises the hard work he has to put in though and he better not use any of my catchphrases," he said.

"I don't think he realises the hard work he has to put in though. It's going to be hard work for him. You don't just show up."

Grimshaw admitted that he would love to take on the role during an appearance on Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

"I feel like everyone's been up for this job - Robbie Williams, Demi Lovato," he said.

"I saw this week they were like, Dolly Parton. Who will it be, Nick Grimshaw or Dolly Parton? Obviously give it to Dolly - although I would love to do it."

When Amanda Holden suggested there was room for both on the judging panel, Grimshaw said: "Yeah, come on - me and Dolly. Yeah I would [be interested]. I love the show."
