Holly Willoughby attempted to ease her early start by feasting on pizza for breakfast after the National Television Awards.

The TV star, 36, partied at London’s O2 as she celebrated This Morning winning Best Daytime at Tuesday night’s ceremony.

Willoughby posted a selfie while eating a slice of Domino's peperoni pizza after arriving at the ITV studios. She captioned the shot: “Breakfast…”

But she clearly hadn’t satisfied her hunger as she later tucked into a bacon sandwich as she kicked off This Morning with Phillip Schofield.

The TV star revealed she had recorded a message for her hungover self on the red carpet to remind her that there will be macaroni cheese waiting for her after “only two hours of telly”.

Willoughby spent the night celebrating with Schofield, who joked that the pair were going to “get p*****” after their win.

Wednesday morning’s show started with an announcement claiming the pair had failed to turn up for work.

The message read: “We’re so sorry for the disruption. Our presenters haven’t turned up.

“We’re working hard to fix the issue.”

The TV duo then burst through with their new trophy, telling fans they were feeling a little worse-for-wear.

It comes two years after they famously went straight from the NTAs to the This Morning studio.

The pair kicked off the show wearing their clothes from the night before while feigning sleep on the sofas.
