Liam Gallagher has launched a foul-mouthed attack on BRIT Awards organisers after claiming he was asked to host the ceremony – but refused a slot to perform.

Gallagher accused show bosses of being “too scared” to let him loose on the microphone at London’s O2 Arena later this month.

He tweeted: “So the Brit awards have ballooned it again as you were LG x.

“All I wanted to do was play LIVE but there too scared too cosy the cheeky c**** asked me if I wanted to host it are they having a laugh LG x.”

The Wall of Glass singer said he refuses to set tables and clean the dishes as part of his hosting requirements, saying he would rather be "stung by goats".

He tweeted: “I ain’t setting there table cooking the food then doing the dishes f*** that I’d rather be stung by a heard of goats.”

One fan also claimed his brother Noel would have jumped at the opportunity to host the “posh s***” to which Liam replied: “Course he would him and his Mrs they'd be all over that exactly why I run a mile ewwww.”

Others threw their support behind a ceremony hosted by Liam, who joked the whole show would be a string of bleeped out swearing for those watching at home.

One fan tweeted: “You should do it, be more interesting than the s**** it is at present!!”

Another, stoking his feud with Noel, posted: “Host it and give Noel the award for most boring old geezer around. And give wall of glass best song for the next 10 years cut out middle man.”
