Singer Delta Goodrem stormed off the set of The Voice Australia after coming to blows with Jessie J over a contestant’s performance.

Goodrem didn’t agree with the Bang Bang singer’s critique of singing teacher Tamara Callaghan's rendition of Marilyn Monroe's song Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend.

The former Neighbours actress said that Callaghan was “100 per cent on the right path” - something Jessie failed to agree with.

“I wouldn't agree,” she said. “I felt like it wasn't serious and I felt like you're hiding behind something. I felt disconnected to you because what you was doing was like it didn't feel like you.”

Unhappy with the comments Goodrem then took out her microphone and ear piece and fumed: “I'm over this s***. I give up.”

She then grabbed her phone and told her fellow coaches: “I'm out.”

Clearly confused Jessie asked: “Why'd you take your mic out?”

Speaking backstage Goodrem said: “I can’t sit there and watch artists be embarrassed on stage. I think I had, had enough of the tough love. I want to be someone who wants to encourage people’s dreams.”

The incident comes a week after the Price Tag singer caused controversy by encouraging a contestant to go with the Joel and Benji Madden over Goodrem.
