Gemma Collins, Craig Charles, Nadia Forde, Carl Fogarty and Vicki Michelle have been banished to the Celebrity Slammer for the first night of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

The public voted to throw the five unlucky contestants - Blue team - into the jungle prison while Michael Buerk, Tinchy Stryder, Kendra Wilkinson, Jimmy Bullard and Melanie Sykes enjoyed a final night of luxury before heading to camp.

TOWIE star Gemma Collins was unable to join her team mates in the helicopter after bursting in to tears.

The 33-year-old said: “I’m s******* myself. Can you stop a minute. I'm being serious I need to get out. I’m going to be sick.”

Nadia Forde was also panicking about a night in jungle prison after confessing to hating “rats, snakes, heights, spiders, and confined spaces.”

The unlucky group were forced to zip wire into the slammer in the dark. Coronation Street actor Craig – who was first to take to the zip line - said: “I was expecting to be thrilled and exhilarated and now I’m getting thrown in to jail again."

After a night of learning to twerk and master Tinchy Stryder's hand shake, broadcaster Michael along with Tinchy and Kendra from Red team sky dived in to the jungle, while Melanie and Jimmy took directions from the ground.

The group were told by Ant and Dec that they could rescue one celebrity from the Slammer.

They chose to rescue Carl - but the catch was that he had to do the first Bushtucker Trial.

Surrounded by 40 snakes, the World Superbike racer collected all of the stars and decided to take them back to Croc Creek and leave his old group on rations in the Slammer.

Former footballer Jimmy was voted to do the second Bushtucker Trial tomorrow.
