The 18-year old model decided to end her relationship with pro paddle surfer Slater Trout because she wants to focus on her work and education.
She told People magazine: "I love him more than anything, but I need to focus on myself right now."
After meeting in 2012, the couple started dating the following year. Ireland had confessed in May that he was her ‘best friend’ who she could laugh and act silly with. She also said they hardly ever had any litigious ‘moments’.

Her radical change was mirrored in a (potentially post-break up) hair transformation. After ditching her signature platinum blonde, last week she posted a picture of herself on Instagram showing off her new lilac locks.
Talking about her style choice, she told E! news: “"I just really wanted to go lavender and it's going to fade out. I wanted change! I love my platinum hair and that's who I am, but this is fun. Why not? It's temporary and fun."
