James Franco has had a handful of questionable hair dos throughout his movie career – but it looks as if his new look is a matter of personal choice.

The Pineapple Express actor looks to have modelled his new bleach blonde 90s style curtains on a young David Beckham.

The prolific Instagrammer took to the social media site to showcase his new bouffant to his army of fans writing: “That Late 90s bleached look”

Despite looking like a character from My So Called Life or the early days of Friends, the 36-year-old may have taken inspiration from Hollywood hearthrob Ryan Gosling as he wrote: “'He thinks: "I wish I was Ryan Gosling, but I'm just me, oh well.'"

He's not the first person to revive the 90s curtains. TOWIE's Charlie Simms has been sporting his own brunette version throughout the last series of the reality show.

Franco is currently playing the part of gay activist and co founder of Young Gay America, Michael Glatze. He stars alongside Zachary Quinto and Palo Alto co-star Emma Roberts.
