Footballer Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah have been spotted up picking up a few bargains in Costco.

The multi-millionaire sportsman, who earns £80,000 per week at Leicester City, was seen by surprised shoppers at his local supermarket last week.

Proving that he’s still down-to-earth despite his enormous pay check, the 29-year-old striker and his wife headed out together to the members-only wholesale retailer.

One shopper wrote on Twitter: “Casually just seen Jamie Vardy in Costco.”

“I’m sure I’ve just seen @vardy7 and @RebekahVardy strolling round Costco,” another person added.

A source told The Sun: “Even though they live in the live a life of luxury and designer stores are probably more their scene, they still love a good bargain.

“They love stocking up on their favourite household goods at Costco and buying in bulk.”

Vardy, who is reportedly worth 25 million, married 34-year-old Rebekah at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire back in May.

The couple, who have one-year-old daughter Sofia together, are currently expecting their second child.

Footballer Wes Brown and wife Leanne have also admitted to living a frugal lifestyle despite the sportsman’s seven-figure salary.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star recently tweeted: “We made sure we stopped off at tesco and bought 3 boxes of cereal to get the buy one get one free offer legoland saving £138! A bargain.”
