Janet Jackson ‘pregnant’ with first child at 49

Janet Jackson is reportedly pregnant with her first child at the age of 49.

The pop superstar, who cancelled her Unbreakable tour last month, is thought to be expecting a baby with husband Wissam Al Mana.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Jackson, who is 50 in just two weeks, will welcome her new arrival later this year.

Last month, the singer informed fans that she was putting her world tour on hold as she was planning to ‘start a family’.

In a public video message, posted to her Facebook, she said: “On August 31st as you probably know, I launched the Unbreakable World Tour.

“First I just want to thank all the fans for coming out and seeing the show – thank you so much, you guys made it so enjoyable for me each and every night.”

Jackson continued: “We’re in the second leg of the tour and there has actually been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know… my husband and I are planning our family.

“So, I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now.”

Jackson pulled out of her scheduled UK dates back in March, citing ‘scheduling difficulties’.”

She also cancelled a series of dates in North America in January after having to undergo emergency surgery.

Jackson married Al Mana, 41, back in 2012 but didn’t confirm their marital status until 2013.
