Janet Jackson has given birth to a baby boy with her husband Wissam Al Mana.

The 50-year-old welcomed her first child with the Qatari businessman on Tuesday and the pair are said to be “thrilled”.

Her publicist confirmed the news in a statement and added: “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”

The couple have named their son Eissa Al Mana.

It came months after she set the rumour mill into overdrive by postponing her Unbreakable world tour to focus on ‘planning a family’.

In a Facebook video message in April she told fans: “We’re in the second leg of the tour and there has actually been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know… my husband and I are planning our family.

“So, I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now.”

Jackson and Al Mana have been married since 2012.
