Jason Donovan has teased a reunion with Kylie Minogue ahead of the start of his UK tour.

The pair who played lovebirds Charlene Mitchell and Scott Robinson on Neighbours - and went on to duet on the 1988 hit Especially For You - may reunite when Donovan hits the road for his Ten Good Reasons & Greatest Hits Tour.

During an appearance on the Lorraine Show this morning, the 46-year-old was quizzed by Lorraine Kelly on whether he will be inviting Minogue, to which he replied: “You never know, there might be an email exchange at some point but that would probably be only for a London show."

He continued: "But I’m really excited about this and it’ll have two halves, we’re going to do the album in the first half of the show and then some of the hits in the second part and I’ll tell a few showbiz stories and a couple of lies along the way and it’ll be a fun day!”

Fans of the eighties heartthrob can expect to be entertained with a string of his greatest hits including Too Many Broken Hearts and Sealed with a Kiss.

Donovan who has enjoyed a successful 25 year career on TV and stage, said the thought of taking to the road again for the first time in seven years is “very exciting”.

“It’s very exciting for me,” he said. “I haven’t toured since 2008, I haven’t actually done my own shows so we thought this time it would be nice to do Ten Good Reasons the album which is part of everyone’s childhood or teenage years and it was the biggest selling album of 1989 and it has all the songs [on it!].”

Donovan will kick the tour off at the Watford Colosseum on February, 26 2016 before wrapping up at the Bristol Colston Hall on March 24.

Tickets for the Ten Good Reasons & Greatest Hits Tour go on sale tomorrow, May 14.
