Jennifer Lawrence is an Oscar winning actress – but people in Hollywood don’t appear to know who she is or what she’s famous for.

The Hunger Games star was left humiliated after she headed onto the streets in Los Angeles to ask members of the public if they were able to name five of her films for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

But the task proved too hard for all but one, with some people failing to even recognise her.

Explaining the challenge, she told viewers: “I wanted to mingle with some of the locals here in Hollywood so I ran up to people and asked them to name five movies I’ve been in. Simple if you have low enough self-esteem.

“The point was to put them on the spot and humiliate myself and guess what, both happened.”

Lawrence tried and failed to act out a handful of her film titles for one star struck fan, while another gave up after struggling to correctly guess Passengers with “hot guy” Chris Pratt.

She was then left red-faced when one woman said she could name Jennifer Aniston films, describing the Friends actress as “prettier, funnier and way better than Jennifer Lawrence”.

Thankfully, Jimmy Kimmel Live’s Guillermo successfully named five films and declared himself her “biggest fan”.

Lawrence stepped in as guest host on the US chat show where she was also joined by reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

She admitted to being an “obsessed” fan of the famous family and recalled the time she had dinner with them before drunkenly dancing the can-can with Kris Jenner.
