Jennifer Saunders rose to fame as a comedian - but she failed to make Kourtney Kardashian crack a smile at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

Saunders, 57, couldn't resist photobombing the reality TV star as they joined a host of famous faces on the red carpet at London's Berkley Square Gardens.

She crept up behind Kardashian and snuck into her photo as the mother-of-three worked a sultry pose for the cameras.

Kardashian, 37, looked unimpressed as she caught sight of the Absolutely Fabulous star pulling a face behind her.

Saunders - who will return to screens later this month as fashionably challenged Edina Monsoon - was honoured at last nights event.

She was presented with the Outstanding Contribution award by her friend and collaborator Dawn French who joked: "Why exactly she has been rewarded for her continued bad behaviour and relentless showing off is beyond me."

Saunders dedicated the gong to the late comedian Victoria Wood.

On collecting the award she described Wood as a "great friend" and said if she had managed to make an outstanding contribution to anything then it was "female friendships".

Other winners included Little Mix who took hom the Musical Act of the Year gong, Holly Willoughby who won TV Personality of the Year and Sigourney Weaver who was honoured with the Icon Award.
