Jude Law, 42, has become a father for the fifth time after his former girlfriend, Catherine Harding, 23, had a baby girl.

A spokesman for actor Law, pictured right, said “both are delighted”.

Ms Harding, a singer who also goes by the name of Cat Cavelli, and Law briefly dated last year and she spent six weeks with him in the Czech Republic while he was filming. They are thought to have split up shortly afterwards.

When Ms Harding’s pregnancy was announced last year they said they would be “wholeheartedly committed to raising their child.”

Close friends of the singer told the Daily Mirror: "It all happened very quickly. They met a little while ago and fell for one another, then Cat told friends that she was going out to Prague, that's when it emerged that she was in a relationship with Jude."

Law has a five-year-old daughter with American model Samantha Burke and three children with his ex-wife Sadie Frost.
