Former Coronation Street actress Julie Goodyear and cosmetics entrepreneur Prince Lorenzo have been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

After being nominated by their fellow housemates alongside actor and musician Martin Kemp, the pair lost out to the Spandau Ballet bassist in the public "vote to save" tonight.

Lorenzo, who appeared in the US reality series The Bachelor, told host Brian Dowling that he did not expect to win.

But he claimed that Goodyear, who played pub landlady Bet Lynch in the long-running soap, was desperate to be crowned the Big Brother winner.

Goodyear was the second housemate to be evicted tonight and was loudly booed by the crowd as she left by the ground level exit.

During her post-eviction interview, she said: "Who wants cheers all the time? I'm a 70-year-old disabled pensioner, I'm so proud I've done three weeks."

Asked about her relationship with fellow housemate TV personality Coleen Nolan, Goodyear dismissed any ill feeling.

"Coleen was more friendly with the younger girls and then when they left it gave us the chance to bond a bit more," she said.

After watching clips of her time in the house, Goodyear responded: "What you see is what you get, take it or leave it."

Goodyear then picked comedian Julian Clary as her favourite housemate.

She added: "He's absolutely fantastic, we hit it off straight away. Kind, caring, funny, he's a friend for life."

After surviving eviction tonight, Kemp will battle Nolan, Clary, rapper MC Harvey, US reality star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and judo Olympian Ashley McKenzie to win the reality show on Friday.
