Justin Bieber was publicly shut down on Twitter after he allegedly messaged a gym to ask the name of a female employee.

Fitness on Broughton gym, in Georgia, US, shared an Instagram video of a blonde woman advertising new “@bangenergy limited edition purple guava pear energy drinks.”

The employee revealed herself as Jessica Gober, who tweeted a screen grab of Bieber’s alleged message which featured a love heart emoji and read: “Who is that girl? In your latest post (sic).”

Gober tweeted: “Did this actually just happen … lmao Justin Bieber just messaged the gym that I work at and asked who I was hahahaha WTF.”

Her post was retweeted 12,000 times and liked by 63,000 users.

But far from jumping at the chance to strike up a conversation with the Canadian superstar, she spectacularly shut him down with pictures of her boyfriend.

Gober tweeted: “I've got everything I need right here.”

Her rebuttal didn’t sit well with some die-hard beliebers who were left seething that they hadn’t caught his attention.

One fan tweeted: “We would do anything just for him to speak at least 1 word to us but he doesn't but he noticed a random hot chick...”

Another wrote: “Really but you can’t notice me smh after eight years of being a belieber you don’t notice me but yeah some ‘hot’ chick in a Instagram account catches your attention (sic).”

It's not the first time Bieber has turned to social media to track down a mystery woman. In 2015 he launched a public appeal to identify Irina Shayk lookalike Cindy Kimberly.

He posted a picture of her alongside the caption: “Omg who is this!!”
