Justin Bieber decided to get a taste of college life as he relaxed at a popular student bar in Los Angeles.

Bieber, 21, got himself a drink at 901 Bar and Grill near the University of Southern California before making a surprise appearance on stage with The Chainsmokers at the Shrine Auditorium.

The Sorry singer propped up the bar where he bought a round of shots for students.

One student took to Twitter, posting: “So @justinbieber was at the @901Bar and bought shots for everyone ... Only at @USC.”

Another posted a picture alongside the caption: “Attn everyone at USC: it's too late 2 say sry (pc @LucyRuderman)."

A source told E! News: "Everyone got shots in their hand and they were all about to do a toast. One of them got up on a stool and we were like, 'Wow, that's Justin Bieber.'"

Bieber’s appearance comes days after he cancelled two Thanksgiving commitments in New York.

He was due to perform on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and was set to take part in the Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS but pulled out at the last minute.

Fans were concerned for his welfare after he tweeted: “My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I won't be able to make it to nyc tomorrow for the show. I look forward to making it up to you soon.”

He later tweeted Colbert, posting: “Thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our a** and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you.”
