Justin Bieber found time while travelling the world on his Purpose Tour to catch some Pokémon.

The Canadian singer fell victim to the Pokémon Go craze and was seen trying to catch the animated monsters in Central Park.

Fans tweeted pictures and videos of the What Do You Mean singer, and one claimed he allegedly said of himself: "I'm the rarest Pokémon of them all."

Another fan captured him telling fans: “You’ve got to catch them all.”

Bieber was reportedly hunting for a rare Gyarados. One Reddit user said the singer arrived with his entourage at a popular Pokémon Go spot outside an Apple store in a bid to catch the character.

After trying to “catch em’ all” the singer took to the stage in a Harry Potter inspired get-up for his Madison Square Garden concert.

Bieber isn't the first celebrity to try out the latest mobile app craze.

A host of famous faces have been busy tweeting their efforts to catch all 150 original Pokémon.

Steve Akoi claims he trundled through fields to find a Pokemon and Joe Jonas joked about planning a road trip to Area 51 to catch a character.
