Justin Bieber’s 21st birthday wish has come true with the promise of his first Comedy Central roast later this year.

The singer who has been badgering bosses to “roast” him has finally been given the chance and took to Twitter to thank the channel and Ryan Seacrest.

“For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me. They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard,” he tweeted.

Modelling: Bieber with Lara Stone for a recent Calvin Klein advert

The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber will be filmed in Los Angeles in March with an official air date yet to be announced.

Kent Alterman, the network's President of Content Development & Original Programming, said in a statement: “Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We’re thrilled he listened.”

Ryan Seacrest also confirmed the news tweeting: “yes I got confirmation @justinbieber is getting roasted by @ComedyCentral in march...love u justin but it's time lol #BieberRoast.”

No doubt his recent Calvin Klein advert with Lara Stone and his many run-ins with the law will feature during the roast.

Bieber’s roast will be the first since James Franco's in 2013. Other celebrities who have taken part in the special include the late Joan Rivers, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, Roseanne Barr and Bob Saget.
