Kanye West’s condition is reportedly ‘worse’ than previously suspected as he remains in hospital on Thanksgiving.

The rapper, who was taken to the UCLA medical centre on Monday, is still being assessed after being admitted for exhaustion, sleep deprivation and dehydration.

According to TMZ, the 39-year-old’s medical problems ‘go deeper’ and he set for a longer stay at the facility.

“They are taking it day by day. He understands that getting help at the hospital was necessary,” a source told People.

“Family and friends are around. Kim is being amazing. As are all of his friends and team and inner circle.”

"There was no question about her staying in New York City. She had to be with him last night."

West was rushed to hospital on Monday, just hours after he cancelled all the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo tour.

While initial reports suggested that the rapper was handcuffed to a stretcher, it later emerged that he voluntarily sought medical help.

West sparked concern when he dropped the mic and stormed off stage during his concert in Sacramento on Saturday night.

After a political tirade and a rant about fellow musician Beyonce, West performed just three songs before leaving the stage.

He then cancelled his Sunday night show, before pulling out of all of his remaining tour dates.
