Katy Perry channelled twenties glamour as she walked the red carpet last night.

The 27-year old star was on trend as she stepped out in a burnt rose satin flapper length dress.

The singer attended a party held by the City of Hope's Music And Entertainment Industry Group which presented this year’s Spirit of Life award to Bob Pittman, Clear Channel CEO.

The retro gown was detailed with intricate lace and pearls which snaked from her neckline across a low back with thin spaghetti straps.

Clutching a feather, the singer also paired it with a long string of pearls around her neck and a crystal detailed headband.

Her long purple hued hair, which had been styled into a bob for the evening, was let loose for her performance at the show.

She also changed into a slinky, black beaded and feathered number for the stage.

Twenties styling is set to make a comeback this year, with Baz Luhrmann's version of American classic The Great Gatsby hitting the big screen in December.

The event, which was held at the The Geffen Contemporary at The Museum of Contemporary Art, also featured fellow stars Ryan Seacrest and UK The Voice judge will.i.am.
