Keanu Reeves was reportedly woken by a female intruder having a read in his library on Monday morning.

According to TMZ The Matrix actor was woken at around 4am by sounds coming from the library in his Hollywood Hills home, so went to investigate only to find a woman in her mid-40s lounging in a chair.

But instead of whipping out some signature Matrix style moves, the actor calmly approached and began speaking to her.

The female, who is believed to have been in her 50s, told the actor that she had come to visit forcing Keanu to call the police who later arrived and took the woman into custody for psychiatric evaluation.

The incident comes just a few months after Keanu's Speed co-star Sandra Bullock came face-to-face with an intruder in her home.

The Gravity actress raised the alarm upon discovering superfan Joshua Corbett going through her personal items, after she found him in her hallway at 1am.

Sandra slammed and locked her door shut and called police, who she told she had showered before going to bed so she was unsure how long he had been in the Los Angeles property.
