Former Fraiser actor Kelsey Grammer wishes he had been honest with his ex-wife about cheating on her with former flights attendant Kayte Walsh, who he is now married to.

Kelsey met the ex-flight attendant Kayte Walsh while he was still married to Camille, the mother of two of his children.

He now regrets not immediately confessing to being unfaithful and trying to pretend everything was fine as they filmed Camille's reality TV show 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'.

Speaking on 'Anderson Live', he said: "I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment. It was just ill advised.

"It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, 'Listen I've met somebody and this hasn't been working for a long time.' I regret not doing that.

"I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so it was very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us."

Kayte gave birth to the couple's daughter Faith in July but the tot's twin brother died before he was born and Kelsey said it has been a difficult time for them both.

He explained: "It's tough. That was really hard. Kayte and I both, we've not really allowed ourselves to mourn him, he was our little boy. It was a sad, sad time."
