Lana Del Rey has hit out at Kanye West over his support for Donald Trump hailing it a “loss for the culture.”

The Summertime Sadness singer, who previously performed at West’s 2014 wedding to Kim Kardashian, took to social media to slam the rapper over his endorsement of the US president.

West posted a snap on social media sporting his Trump merchandise hat with slogan ‘Make America Great Again’.

He captioned the picture: “This represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs.

“We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love.”

Rey was quick to blast the Gold Digger hit maker, she commented: “Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture. I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level.

"Delusions of grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism. None of which would be a talking point if we weren't speaking about the man leading our country.”

She added: "If you think it's alright to support someone who believes it's OK to grab a woman by the p**** just because he's famous, then you need an intervention just as much as he does.

"Message sent with concern that will never be addressed."

The post comes after videos surfaced online of West’s appearance on Saturday Night Live, which ended with an unscripted pro-Trump speech.

The rap never aired but the clips have been shared on social media after audience members live-streamed from the show.
