Lenny Kravitz fans got more than they bargained for when the singer accidentally exposed himself on stage.

Kravitz, 51, was performing in front of thousands of fans at Stockholm's biggest theme park, Gröna Lund, when his leather trousers ripped open at the crotch.

The American singer – who clearly goes commando – was pacing the stage during a rendition of American Woman when he squatted down and exposed himself.

Local newspaper Expressen reported that the star was forced to leave the stage to change after the accident.

A fan told the publication: “It happened so fast, I think no one could understand what was happening at the time. Lenny Kravitz was gone for several minutes to find new pants.

“Then the producer came back and said they had 'some problems on stage'. A little later Kravitz came back and then he had second pants. He said 'sorry, I cracked my pants,'.”

They added: “It was insane, I killed myself laughing. And then I called my mum who was there at the show as well. Her reaction was the same and she almost killed herself laughing too.”

Fans were quick to tweet the funny incident with one posting: “Lenny live tonight in Stockholm. Awsome show. He ripped his pants during the first song.”

Kravitz - who is famed for hits including It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over and Fly Away - is currently touring with his 2014 album Strut.
