With temperatures barely above freezing in London, nobody could blame Tulisa Contostavlos for wanting to escape the terrible UK weather.

The singer is clearly enjoying her time in Los Angeles - and revealed a new look as she stepped out on the streets in West Hollywood as she hopes for her big break in the US.

Tulisa revealed a sleek new hairstyle, teamed with a pale pink jacket, cut-off denim shorts and towering heels as she looked every inch a Californian girl.

The former N-Dubz star - who is eager to pursue an acting career following her rumoured axe as a judge on talent show The X Factor - is currently in Los Angeles for film auditions.

She recently revealed she is hoping to move into acting and has lined up a role in a big budget sequel.

She said: "I enjoy acting, so I'm off to Los Angeles to do that and I have meetings, auditions and agents lined up. I've got a movie planned for the end of the year so I'll be filming in LA then. It's 95 per cent confirmed but all I can tell you is it's a sequel."
