Lisa Armstrong has 'liked' a tweet about “not giving up” on marriage following her split from husband Ant McPartlin.

Despite speculation that TV presenter McPartlin is moving on with the couple’s former PA Anne Marie-Corbett, the make-up artist appeared to support a tweet on making relationships work.

The tweet read: “Ya wanna know what a real relationship 'goal is?

“Going against all odds in a relationship choosing to make it work regardless of the circumstances, trials, and tribulations bc that’s the story of how most of our grandparents made It to 50+ years of marriage. You don’t give up.” [sic]

Armstrong, 42, then revealed she did not know about the romance and only found out after reading about the new relationship in the media.

Responding to a Twitter follower who had said she "hoped he didn't let you find out from the media", Lisa wrote: "Nope. Just how you guys did."

She then received a message of support from TV personality Nicola McLean, saying: "Sending my love Lisa! Really feel for you worst pain ever."

Lisa replied: "Thanks babe and to think she was MY friend."

Armstrong and McPartlin announced their split in January, calling time on their 11-year marriage.
