Little Mix have reportedly been ‘secretly recording’ their fifth album, following the success of 2016’s Glory Days.

The girl group were rumoured to be taking a break following their 75-date Glory Days tour, but it seems that they’re already back in the studio.

Dropping a rather big hint, singer-songwriter, Raye, has revealed that she has already been working with the group on their new album.

Speaking about the male-dominated music industry, she told the Daily Star: “The Little Mix album, I've been writing for that. For every 10 guys there's one girl, everywhere you go.

"It's very overwhelming and I think it's really important that girls have started to support each other more, all becoming friends, and it's like a community. It's so important.

She added that there “isn’t enough” female collaborations within the industry and declared a “need for more”.

The news comes after the band were snubbed at this year’s Brit Awards nominations, failing to land a nod in the Best Group category, despite their fourth album being their most successful to date.

The band was unable to qualify for the category as Glory Days was released in 2016 and artists are only nominated if they've had a new album out.

However, the girls were nominated for both British Video and British Single of the year.

Taking to social media to express their joy, the group tweeted: “So unreal!! We're up for 'British Video' and 'British Single' at the @BRITs this year with #TOUCH.

“We're honestly so so so grateful to be nominated in both these categories! Thank you thank you thank youuuu xx the girls xx #BRITs.”
