Lorraine Kelly has opened up about wanting more children as she poses in a new photoshoot with daughter Rosie.

The daytime television presenter, 55, who suffered a miscarriage when her daughter was just five, admits that she would have loved to have had a bigger family.

Speaking in a new interview with OK! Magazine, she said: "Another baby would have been super. But, hey, it didn’t happen. I had a miscarriage when Rosie was about five."

Kelly's daughter, now 20, also remembers the horrifying incident, added: "‘I do remember. We were in Dundee. I was in the car with Dad following the ambulance. I was okay, though – I had no idea what was going on."

Despite being one of the best known faces on British TV, Kelly admits that she sees herself, first an foremost, as being a mother to Rosie.

She said: "I have that strong work ethic in me. But really I’m just Rosie’s mum. That’s my proper job."

Kelly and her daughter, who look strikingly similar, hit the red carpet together at the Minions premiere earlier in the month.

Speaking recently about having a mother who is in the spotlight, Kelly told The Daily Mail: “There was never a sudden moment when I realised my mother was not like other mothers.

“I do remember when I was very young and we were out shopping being baffled that people were asking her for her autograph.”

She added: “I'd say, 'Why are you scribbling your name on bits of paper for people?' It all seemed very strange.”
