Maisie Williams looks worlds away from Game of Thrones character as she attends The Falling screening in sheer dress

Maisie Williams was worlds apart from her Game of Thrones counterpart Arya Stark as she stepped out in an ethereal gown for the screening of her new film, The Falling.

Williams, 18, posed for photographers outside the Ham Yard Hotel in London's Soho wearing a sheer taffeta dress with grey detailing and teamed the look with a pair of pointed silver heels.

The actress – who has been busy filming for a role in BBC sci-fi hit Doctor Who – was joined by her co-stars Maxine Peake and newcomer Florence Pugh.

Williams plays Lydia in the Carol Morley drama which follows the fainting epidemic surrounding a group of school girls in the 1960s.

Despite a career surrounded by sex and nudity in Game of Thrones, The Falling marked Williams’ first sex scene - something she has described as "awkward".

Talking to Glamour about the scene which she shares with Peaky Blinders actor Joe Cole she said: "It was really awkward. Joe Cole has done sex scenes before, in Peaky Blinders and Skins, but this was my first.

“There wasn't any nudity - but because of the way it was shot, they needed to put the bed on stilts. Of course, one of the stilts fell off and the bed broke. It was an experience."

The Falling is set for release on April 24.
